Shift in Perspective

I remember the exact location, day, and moment that I realized I was unconsciously avoiding pain and suffering. I was maneuvering life from a place of seeking ease, craving comfort, and chasing pleasure.
I recognized and accepted that I was living life this way while simultaneously able to reflect and see the deeper truth that the struggles and hardships in my life have actually been the necessary moments of my journey that helped forge me into this version of myself. A version more capable, more present, more loving, more in tune with myself and everything around me.
This shift in paradigm can completely alter our experience of life. It can birth a deep sense of trust and surrender into the flow of life and our unique path.
We get the lessons needed in life.
The intelligence guiding this entire existence knows precisely what each of us needs and when we need it. Enough to aid in our expansion and push us beyond our edge, without breaking us.
The paradox and irony in all of this..
When we move through life trying to avoid pain we are met with more of it. But when we stop running and avoiding then Life begins to soften.
Maybe the suffering lessens or maybe we just stop perceiving it as suffering.
“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change”.
Gratitude for the beautiful gifts Life grants each of us. The opportunities to learn, to grow, to evolve, and to expand.
